Parliament in Wessco consists of the House of Lords (these seats are hereditary - passed down through the noble families) and the House of Commons (these are elected seats). But a royal veto may be overridden by a two-thirds vote of both houses of parliament. The king/queen is head of the executive branch and signs, executes, and vetoes all laws. The order of succession would be enshrined in the country's constitution (which is difficult to change/ratify). Wessco is a constitutional and hereditary monarchy. The government is based on aspects of Jordan, Monaco and the UK. Wessco is made up of the southern region of Scotland and northern England - the Wessconian accent is a blend of Scottish/northern English. ![]() The formation of the country came from Scottish and English history (the Scottish Wars for Independence) with some creative license. ![]() I didn't pattern Wessco after one specific country, but chose details from a few different countries to create Wessco. ![]()
